In line with sustained growth, Lockton are currently recruiting for an apprentice to join the Marine division, part of the wider Lockton Global Transportation business unit. There will be full training and support and you will work towards a fully funded professional qualification. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market -leading broker and start your career in a specialist area of Insurance, with scope for career development within the role.

We’re looking for somebody who will initially perform the following basic tasks; however if you show potential you will in time, have the opportunity to be more client/underwriting facing.  

·Filing (scanning of quotes, slips, transfer forms, invoices etc.)

·Be competent MS Office programmes

·Processing – invoices and cover notes

·Processing entries on X-changing  i.e. X-changing submissions / release of funds

·Helping members of the team organise travel/expenses

·Preparation of slips and endorsements

·Managing the renewal list and preparing claims/ premium stats on each renewal

·Preparing marketing/ presentation materials for clients 

·PPL and occasional market broking 

Candidate Profile

Suitable candidates for the role will have recently completed A Levels and will need to demonstrate a flexible approach and a willingness to learn.
