In line with sustained growth, Lockton are currently recruiting for an apprentice to support the Lockton Global Energy (LGE) Head of Claims. There will be full training and support and you will work towards a fully funded professional qualification.  This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market -leading broker and start your career in a specialist area of Insurance, with scope for career development.

The overall purpose of the role is administering the claims process, providing an effective service to clients.

The main tasks and responsibilities within the role will include:

·Efficient processing of claims – physical and/or electronic broking/negotiation

·Provide support to LGE’s Head of Claims in the claims, including liaison with clients, insurers and third party experts

·Setting up and running of claims files, including monitoring of ECF/CLASS claims messages

·Preparation and management of claims payments, including the monitoring of unmatched and outstanding monies

·Provide input and advice to clients on claims progress and to manage their expectations

·Assist with the reporting of claims statistics to clients and LGE’s placing team

·To engage with the Lockton apprenticeship scheme and take part in professional qualifications

 

Candidate Profile

Suitable candidates for the role will have recently completed A Levels and will need to demonstrate a flexible approach and a willingness to learn.  

Competencies:

·Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing

·Ability to manage time, priorities and ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality

·To have an eye for detail, to be inquisitive and prepared to learn quickly

·To be willing to learn quickly but also to be inquisitive and not be afraid to ask questions

·Competent in Microsoft Office
