Description

Lockton International began a transformational journey that included investing in several data related capabilities, led by an agile data management team. The Data Quality/Governance Analyst will work within the Data Governance team to assist in fulfilment of Lockton’s data management programme. This role requires technical skill whilst incorporating key data governance concepts.

 

Role Responsibilities

 

The day-to-day responsibilities include tasks such as:

 

  • Assisting with enforcing the Data Ownership framework and partnering with data stewards on key data initiatives

 

  • Managing the company data quality log and working with business teams to facilitate the remediation of reported issues

 

  • Assisting with data led projects and their implementation across systems and business teams

 

  • Own development and management of data glossaries to establish enterprise data standards

 

  • Assisting with the creation of Power BI reports monitoring data quality and creating mastered data

 

  • Using SQL tables to produce reports

 

  • Stakeholder management partnering with IT, project teams and business stakeholders

 

  • Upholding Lockton’s data policy, procedures and standards

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a strong starter with a passion for producing positive results to data challenges. We need someone who is able to keep their calm in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly, and adaptability is a must.

 

Professional qualifications and skills include:

  • 2+ years experience working in a data governance analyst or BA role

 

  • Good experience partnering with the business and/or IT on data projects

 

  • Data profiling, data analysis and manipulation

 

  • Analytical capability/Analytical skills:

 

  • Issues & risks identification & mitigation

 

  • Root cause analysis

 

  • Qualitative & quantitative analysis

 

  • End to end development of PowerBI Reports (ETL, data modelling, expression writing and report writing)

 

  • Experience with data mastery

 

  • Good practices in SQL development

 

  • Advanced Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot etc.)

 

  • Experience using Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) is desirable
