As we continue to grow, we are strengthening our Marine Binding Authority business and are seeking a Client Services professional with proven Marine binders experience to play a key role in its development. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, high-performing team where your technical expertise in binding authorities will be valued and where you can directly contribute to the growth of a specialist and evolving area of the business.

 

Role Responsibilities:

 

This is a varied Client Services role in a multi-disciplined technical processing team focused on Lockton Re’s Marine Binding Authority business. Some of the key tasks and responsibilities include but will not be limited to the following:

Processing & Claims

·       Reviewing both new and existing binders

·       FDO (For Declaration Only) presentation

·       Premium & Claims bordereaux processing to bureau and non bureau

·       Binding Authority Claims handling

·       Proactively resolve coverage and accounting-related queries, ensuring there are no delays in current or future transactions

·       Maintain timely accounting to client and underwriters

·       Experience covering various lines of business,

·       Converse with client and underwriters on a technical level

·       Candidates need to be able to work independently, managing priorities and supporting team colleagues to ensure customer satisfaction

·       Excellent technical knowledge of the Lloyd’s and or Company Reinsurance market

·       Demonstrates a solid understanding of query handling with Velonetic, including investigation and resolution.

·       Ability to accurately interpret and apply varying tax structures across accounts

·       Actively builds relationships with team, internal and external clients

·       Identify client’s individual requirements and work alongside them to achieve the best possible outcomes

·       Participate in client and reinsurer meetings as required

 

 

Broker Support

·       Debroke

·       Risk sign down

·       Prepare and maintain account statistics

·       Provide support in the overall servicing of the client’s account and retention of business

·       Use Electronic methods throughout full process 

Candidate Profile

Successful applicants will ideally have prior relevant reinsurance experience in a Client Services position aligned to Marine binding authorities and be able to evidence experience in the following role requirements:

·       Demonstrate ability to instil confidence with clients so that the client looks to you and to Lockton Re as more than just a reinsurance broker, but as a partner in business.

·       Ability to compile, analyse and interpret financial information and data to facilitate decision making.

·       Ability to manage time, prioritise and ensure that deadlines are met without compromising quality.

·       Professional and tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives.

·       Proven problem-solving skills, including the ability to resolve unusual and complex issues and then devise actionable solutions.
