Title

Head of Operations (12 MFTC)

Description

The purpose of this role is to support the COO in delivering the operational strategy for Lockton Insurance Brokers Ireland (LIBI) through operational activities, ensuring efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction across General Insurance and People Solutions.

 

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with Lockton’s principles.

 

  • Maximise efficiency of current systems & infrastructure.

 

  • Retaining and developing the accounts revenue

 

  • Identify and implement improvements in processes, systems and technology to enhance efficiency.

 

  • Investigate quality problems and recommend changes or improvements.

 

  • Ongoing evaluation of systems, analysing data, evaluating processes to establish best practice and identify opportunities for improvement.

 

  • Establish optimal internal tech solution with input & support from key stakeholders.

 

  • Lead, coach and develop the operations teams.

 

  • Work closely with compliance to ensure all operational activities comply with regulation and company policy.

 

  • Monitoring of cash collection performance & Bad Debt.

 

  • Monitoring of Company KPI goals with the Division, ensuring remedial action where performance falls below company expectation (working alongside).

 

  • Work on corporate operational improvement projects.

 

  • Responsibility for Divisional payaways (inbound & outbound).

 

  • Ensure that necessary policies and standards for service quality are set and maintained and that compliance is assured

 

  • Drive business success by identifying, triaging, and developing areas of change to enhance efficiency and cost saving, revenue growth, and to maximise value.

 

  • Take a change initiative from ideology and planning, through to development and deployment, working across business functions and with multiple stakeholders to achieve a successful outcome.

 

  • Understands both internal and customer requirements and translates them into product requirements.

 

  • Collaborate effectively with other departments and teams to achieve shared goals.

 

  • Work closely with the COO, CEO and UK colleagues.

 

  • Deputise for COO at meetings as and where appropriate.

 

  • Ad hoc support to the COO and Business Unit Leader as required.

 

  • Lead on integrating and liquidating acquisitions we acquired.

 

  • Have an oversight of Finance and monitor monthly revenue.

Candidate Profile

  • Level 8 degree.

 

  • CII / QFA Qualification.

 

  • Financially literate, ability to review and understand financial Management Information.

 

  • Proven track record of effective stakeholder management.

 

  • Ability to communicate effectively to all stakeholders.

 

  • Proven ability to drive & deliver change.

 

  • Proven experience in operations and extensive experience in large corporate benefit broking/consulting environment.

  • People management experience.

 

  • Ability to manage time effectively focusing on priorities, targets and deadlines.
