What is broking in insurance?
The “risks” our clients insure could range from a satellite launch, Ronaldo’s right foot, a McLaren racing car, Tailor Swift’s global tour or a block of student flats in London. As an Apprentice, you will play a vital role in protecting businesses and global power houses against unforeseen risks. This is through building strong client relationships, understanding their needs, creating a link between clients and insurers and supporting them through claims and negotiations.

  We hire for two different types of insurance Apprentice:
  
  1.      Insurance or Reinsurance - Client Services / Broker
  Typical responsibilities include:
• Working closely with Account Managers to provide outstanding service to our clients.
• Getting to know your clients’ business needs and identifying potential risks.
• Liaising with Underwriters and providing day-to-day support to our Brokers.
• Providing technical and admin support to ensure smooth processing.
  
  2.      Insurance or Reinsurance - Technical / Divisional Support
  Typical responsibilities include:
• Project management – offering key insights, research and analytics to support client decisions and internal strategies.
• Developing claims handling skills and taking on related responsibilities.
  
  

Our Launch Apprenticeship Programme:
You will become part of the sixth cohort of Apprentices, who have worked across a range of specialisms such as Lockton Re (Reinsurance), Global Energy, Marine and Global Real Estate and Construction.

Who we are looking for

Our Launch Apprenticeship Programme is open to all applicants who are curious and eager to learn, regardless of academic background. If you are a strong communicator, have excellent numerical and analytical skills and enjoy collaborating with others, we want to hear from you!

Other attributes and skills we are looking for include:

• A passion for delivering high-quality projects.
• A positive, proactive, can-do attitude - even when under pressure.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise your own workload.
• Quality-driven with great attention to detail.

Adaptability, as the insurance landscape is ever-evolving and fast-paced.

Minimum requirements

• 3 A-levels or equivalent in any subject
• A minimum of Grade 4 / C at GCSE level (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.

NB: Due to Apprenticeship regulations, we can only accept applicants who haven’t completed a qualification in the same field at the same or higher level to the course you are applying for.

Assessment centre: Successful candidates will be required to attend an assessment centre on either Monday 19th January or Friday 23rd January in our London Office
