Lockton are excited to be hosting our fifth year of interns at our London office, around the corner from the iconic Lloyd’s of London building in the City. Our 6-week Internship Programme is designed to empower you to create your own experiences and to propel your career to the next level.

What is insurance?

You will work in the dynamic world of insurance, where your days could consist of anything from helping key political figures protect their reputations and their livelihoods, to working with boutique galleries to safeguard their Rembrandt collections. As a Broker, we assess the needs of our clients when they need to purchase insurance and calculate the specific risks they face, so we can negotiate policies with providers on their behalf.

Who we are looking for:

Our Internship Programme is open to all penultimate year undergraduate students, who are curious and eager to learn, regardless of degree subject. This role is perfect for a strong communicator with excellent numerical and analytical skills, who enjoys building relationships and collaborating with others.

• A positive, proactive, can-do attitude - even when under pressure
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise your own workload
• Quality-driven with great attention to detail
• Adaptability, as the insurance landscape is ever-evolving and fast-paced

Minimum requirements:

• Penultimate year students only (second year of a 3-year course or third year of a 4-year course)
• A minimum of grade 4 / C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics and 3 A-levels / 5 Highers (or equivalent)

Our Internship Programme:

Your experience as an intern at Lockton will be like no other. You will be given the opportunity to dive into our business and add value from day one.

Supported and mentored by experts from across the business, you’ll participate in training sessions to grow your knowledge, build relationships with Lockton experts, learn about the insurance industry and deliver real value through client-focused projects.

Through your experience, you’ll get a real sense of life at Lockton and what a career in our industry could look like. Successful interns may be fast-tracked onto our Graduate Programme the following year.

Programme details:

• Competitive salary: £2,900
• 2 days annual leave
• Start date: Monday 15th June 2026
• Duration: 6-week paid programme
• Location: The majority of placements will be based at our central London office (EC3A 7AG)

NB: You need to be living within a daily commuting distance for the duration of the programme.
