Description

As an Account Administrator based in our Malta office, you will be responsible for delivering account management services for any assigned client portfolios, contributing to the comprehensive service provision to clients, and ensuring adherence to the operational model of Lockton European Brokers Limited (LEBL). You will serve as a contact for EEA risks within the client service team, working with an allocation of clients of varying sizes from SMEs, commercial to large corporate accounts across Europe, mostly placed in the London Market with multinational insurers.

As the Account Administrator you will:

  • Conduct client onboarding in line with Lockton processes and procedures
  • Serve the Malta team’s administrative and compliance needs to enable them to deliver advocacy services to clients through close and regular interaction
  • Provide day-to-day servicing of the teams’ clients portfolio, to support retention and development of the business
  • Handle a number of risk placements in line with LEBL operational model
  • Support the coordination of SME/small sized insurance programmes with colleagues in the UK Branch teams in line with Lockton’s operating model and philosophies
  • Effective and timely management of all renewals to ensure completion by the due date
  • Checking of policies and other documentation for accuracy prior to issuance to the client
  • Provision of documents to clients in accordance with Lockton procedures
  • Deal effectively (and to the satisfaction of the client and the market) with queries, including but not limited to changes in cover and risk.
  • Undertaking ad-hoc assignments assigned by your line manager, that may arise from time to time and to report on the outcome of such assignments as may be appropriate and necessary,
  • Provide management information as requested

Candidate Profile

  • Strong academic background, with an analytical mindset

 

  • Experience in a similar role or experience in insurance will be considered an asset

 

  • Candidates should possess a drive to learn with a work ethic of continual improvement and excellent service

 

  • Candidates should possess excellent communications skills, including fluent written and spoken English, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, insurers and other associates

 

  • Ability to build and maintain effective and positive relationships, and communicate both informally and in formal situations, with clients, insurers and associates

 

  • Strong collaborative skills and be able to work as part of a team

 

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

 

  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and changing business requirements

 

  • Ability and willingness to undertake occasional business travel to the UK

 

  • Excellent time management and the ability to work independently and under pressure, managing deadlines and compliance requirements, without compromising the quality provision provided

 

  • Highly motivated with excellent attention to detail

 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook)

 

  • An understanding of and adherence to Lockton standards and procedures.
