Account Executive Role – What is involved?

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and expert Account Executive to join our successful National Professions team

 

As an Account Executive your primary role is to build and maintain excellent working relationships with our clients to ensure that we are providing the best service for all of their insurance broking and risk management needs.

 

You will be responsible and accountable for a portfolio of existing clients, managing their evolving insurance needs over the renewal process and throughout the policy year. This will include supporting strategy meetings with clients and partnering when necessary with our expert brokers, preparing market submissions, analysing renewal terms, looking for opportunities to provide enhanced or additional services and ensuring that the client’s insurance programme remains fit for purpose.

Candidate Profile

What are the typical responsibilities as an Account Executive?

 

  • Building and maintaining strong partnerships with your allocated portfolio of clients
  • Agree renewal strategy, collate and analyse renewal information to prepare market submissions
  • Proactively supporting clients during  renewal periods including reporting any losses and monitoring any premium payment requirements 
  • Prepare policy documentation including working with our wordings expert for any bespoke clauses/ wording
  • Review contractual obligations including appointment documents and collateral warranties
  • Support the claims team on any major losses and/or coverage issues

 

What specific skills and experience would we like you to have?

 

  • As an expert Account Executive, you will be required to have experience of working on appointment documents and contracts -PII, legal or construction industry background preferred.
  • Technical knowledge of PI insurance products and standard contractual requirements imposed on Construction sector clients
  • Proven experience reviewing contractual documentation to ascertain client coverage requirements would be highly beneficial
  • Experience of preparing market submissions and policy documentation will be beneficial
  • Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be organized, proficient in using Microsoft office and be comfortable communicating with a wide range of clients, professional advisers and colleagues
  • Desire to join a dynamic, entrepreneurial team in a growing organisation
