Description

Lockton are currently recruiting for an Account Manager to join the ProFin division in Malta.

Role purpose

We are looking to grow our team to support the growth of our successful Malta business, acting as a leading insurance broker in the financial and professional services sector.   This team handles insurance business for the following sectors/classes of insurance  - Financial Institutions, Professional Indemnity, Directors’ and Officers’ Liability and Cyber.

 

The ultimate objective is for the team member to provide support and eventually account management services for a portfolio of clients.

 

About the Role

Role responsibilities will include:

 

  • Provision of the day-to-day servicing of a client’s insurance programme to support retention and development of the business.

 

  • Placement of insurances for clients in accordance with Lockton strategy.

 

  • Effective and timely management of all renewals to ensure completion by the due date.

 

  • Obtain quotations both for new and renewal business.

 

  • Preparation of market and client documentation.

 

  • Check policy documentation for accuracy prior to issue to the client.

 

  • Deal effectively (and to the satisfaction of the client and the market) with queries, including but not limited to changes in cover and risk.

 

  • Prompt and accurate resolution of accounts queries.

 

  • Support in providing advice on insurance and risk management solutions in consultation with the team.

 

  • Provision of management information as required.

 

  • Manage and co-ordinate the insurance programmes

Candidate Profile

  • Willingness and ability to continue to develop knowledge through formal and informal learning, both internal and external to the company.

 

  • Experience and understanding of handling/supporting the insurance programmes for clients.   

 

  • Ability to work in a team.

 

  • Attention to detail.

 

  • Highly organised with an ability to prioritise.

 

  • Commitment to the highest standards of client service.

 

  • An understanding of the general, legal principles of insurance.

 

  • Excellent written and spoken English.

 

  • An understanding of the relevant insurance products and of the local financial services landscape will be considered an  asset.
