Lockton are looking for three Account Managers to join a newly created team based in the London office. Offering excellent variety, the role will expose the successful candidate to much of the following:
- Understanding the clients’ business, strategic priorities, risk strategies and risk management needs.
- Advising clients on global risk strategy, optimum program structure and regulations.
- Presenting client risk exposures to insurer community to implement best coverage and program implementation.
- Must have strength in gathering, analysing and tracking large scale data for global audits.
- Competency to build technical industry knowledge, establish an understanding of the global marketplace, and help the brokerage team evaluate clients’ international exposures.
- Being the primary communication point with the Lockton Global Solutions network on service of global programs.
- Reviewing appropriate binding documentation.
- Supervising invoicing process, coordinate delivery of policy/invoice/certificate documentation globally and monitor payments to avoid policy cancellation.
- Continuously seeking opportunities to broaden technical insurance expertise, could be on a specific line of business
- Keeping a close eye on market conditions and update team members as well as clients of major developments affecting various types of coverage.
- Taking ownership of open items lists on a variety of projects for assigned clients.
- Managing a global book of business as follows:
- First point of contact and day-to-day management for client needs on Complex and Large accounts.
- Secondary contact as directed by the Account Executive on Large as well as Complex clients, handling day-to-day tasks and open items.
- Will also be the secondary point of contact on Basic or Corporate clients as a point of escalation, mentoring and training.
- Estimated size of book 10-15 clients
Given the insurance-specific nature of this position, we will be seeking candidates with prior market experience which will then ideally be supported by some of the following capabilities/experience:
- Account handler/ manager experience from within the Insurance industry
- Experience of working on global accounts
- Effective verbal and written communication, time management and prioritisation, strong attention to detail, customer service capabilities and commitment to personal growth
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a strong command of Excel
- Understanding of global insurance regulations, practices, and market trends
- Highly motivated with the ability to work on own initiative
- Able to travel internationally with proficiency in foreign language(s) considered a benefit
