Description

Further your career in Reinsurance Broking with Lockton Re, working in our Non-Marine Retrocession and Property Specialty team in a permanent role with responsibility from day one, with all the support and training you need to succeed.

 

About the role

An exciting opportunity as an Account Manager in the rapidly growing Non-Marine Retrocession and Property Specialty team, you will be working closely with our broking and client service teams to ensure contract certainty for our clients, delivering first-class service on Excess of Loss, Quota Share, ILW’s and ILS placements. You will be keen to understand the mechanisms of wordings – the structure and content of reinsurance coverage documents, our business, and the reinsurance industry.

 

You will learn to formulate reinsurance legal contracts with structured learning and on-the-job training, enabling you to structure and refine contracts, leverage insights into recommendations, and gain exposure to a diverse range of reinsurance specialisms.

 

The opportunity will allow you to build relationships with brokers, clients, reinsurers and manage a selection renewal / new book of business that can provide long term career progression.

Candidate Profile

About you

Given the nature of this role, you will need to evidence relevant Reinsurance experience in a similar Account Management or Production Support role. In addition to this, we will be seeking the following skills, experience and attributes from the successful candidate:

  • Excellent attention to detail, and an interest in the mechanics of reinsurance, policies and processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – able to impactfully communicate with stakeholders in both formal and informal situations.
  • Commercially astute – able to quickly interpret commercial challenges and driven to find solutions for our clients
