The Role

We are seeking a driven and ambitious Broker to join our Casualty Facultative Reinsurance team in London. This role is ideal for someone with 3+ years’ experience who is looking to accelerate their career within a high‑performance, client‑focused environment.

Working closely with Senior Brokers, you will support the placement and servicing of complex Casualty Facultative risks, while developing strong relationships with clients and reinsurers across the London and international markets.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who is detail‑oriented, client‑focused and thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the marketing, structuring and placement of Casualty Facultative reinsurance programmes
• Prepare high‑quality submission materials, including underwriting presentations and market contracts
• Liaise with reinsurers to obtain quotations and assist with negotiations and placements
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
• Assist with the day‑to‑day management of client relationships, ensuring high levels of service
• Monitor market conditions and contribute to placement strategies
• Coordinate with internal teams including Client Service, Operations and Analytics to ensure seamless execution
• Maintain an active presence within the London market, participating in meetings on a day‑to‑day basis

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ experience within Casualty or Financial Lines insurance or reinsurance
• Strong understanding of London and Lloyd’s market processes and documentation, including contracts and endorsements
• Exposure to London Market practices and procedures
  Experience using Electronic Placement Platforms (e.g. PPL) is advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail with strong organisational capabilities
• Ability to prioritise effectively in a fast‑paced environment
• Commercial mindset with an interest in negotiation and deal execution
  Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
• Holding or working towards Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII) qualifications is desirable
