Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead the development of the operational resilience and business continuity strategy.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and consultant to business stakeholders in all aspects of BCP and Ops Res.
  • Ensure that the operational resilience and business continuity approach remains relevant, effective, and compliant to law, standard and regulation as appropriate.
  • Lead the reporting, delivery and identification of relevant risks to the appropriate boards and committees.
  • Primary focus in Europe, but scope to provide support across the International business

 

Operational Resilience

 

  • Lead operational resilience testing strategy and monitor improvement plans in conjunction with the business.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with the leadership, including relevant governance groups, executives, and board members.
  • Liaise with regulators and the market on all operational resilience related matters in order to ensure alignment with expectations.
  • Collaborate with the leadership on building a resilience-by-design culture across operations and beyond.
  • Lead the development of the Ops Res policy and framework approach in supporting the business

 

Business Continuity

 

  • Design and deliver enhanced BCP materials including plans, templates and incident management
  • Collaborate with the leadership to embed business continuity principles into business as usual
  • Manage the business continuity programme, including collaborating with the business to review and improve their business continuity arrangements.
  • Deliver an effective testing strategy annually

Candidate Profile

 

 

  • Significant Business Continuity leadership experience
  • Demonstrable experience with operational resilience testing strategy
  • Conceptual thinking and problem solving.
  • Delivery orientation, initiative, and drive. Ability to work with a high-degree of autonomy and be results-driven with a flexible approach to working.
  • Purposeful communication and capacity to influence others.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritise work, deliver results, and provide support to senior roles through tactical and strategic planning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to analyse, articulate and present complex issues clearly and concisely.
