Our highly successful and growing Healthcare division is recruiting for a new Business Development Executive to join our UK Dentists team.

 

About Densura

Densura has grown from a standing start eight years ago to become one of the largest insurance providers of dental indemnity in the UK. We currently look after over 2000 individual dentists who are all self-employed. We have invested in a bespoke IT system for new and renewal business which has a client portal for documents and information. We also have an on-line community the Dentrepreneurs on Facebook. Our current team has five account executives, four field salespeople (this will shortly grow to six) and one appointment maker. This team are supported by our in-house clinical negligence lawyers and our team of ten practicing dentists with a legal qualification who look after the claims and complaints.

About the Role:

We are searching for an ambitious individual who is hungry to succeed and looking to advance their career within a growing sales team.

 

  • Direct sales position to which you will be delegated your own territory
  • Weekly structure: Home/Field and office based
  • You will be responsible for generating own new business leads and scheduling new business opportunities
  • You will be meeting Dentists and Practice Managers and detailing the Densura Dental Indemnity product through PowerPoint presentations
  • You will be expected to attend networking and industry events as well as trade shows, sometimes these are out of working hours
  • Maintaining and keeping the CRM system up to date
  • Managing own diary and making sure all leads are accurately followed up
  • Working towards achieving personal and team annual sales targets
  • Working hours can be flexible as we do have to deal with some clients out of hours, post-surgery hours

Candidate Profile

Essential

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - the role requires an intelligent approach to dealing with clinicians who know little about the detail of indemnity
  • Previous experience in a sales / business development position 
  • Ideal candidate would have a proactive approach and be a key contributor to our dynamic, close knit sales team
  • Ideal candidate would possess strong problem solving skills
  • Previous experience in working within a fast paced environment

 

Desired (full training will be provided):

  • Previous insurance experience and knowledge of the insurance market
  • An understanding of indemnity
  • Knowledge of the dental space gained either at a broker or at one of the three medical defence organisations – MDU, MPS or MDDUS
