Lockton’s European Marketing and Communications team is an integrated group of marketing, communications and design specialists who act as trusted advisors in a growing and exciting business.
As Lockton’s Communications Manager, you will be part of a team building strategies and initiatives for both internal and external communications.
In this newly-created role, you will be responsible for growing and protecting Lockton’s profile across the UK and Europe through external communications, primarily through news media. And you will also be involved in Lockton’s internal communications activity, ensuring our Associates are well-informed and engaged.
Reporting into the Head of Communications, the successful applicant will provide strategic, integrated communications and compelling storytelling across multiple channels, both internal and external, and have exceptional written skills with high attention to detail.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Communication Strategy – Develop and execute comprehensive and creative strategies that align with business objectives.
- Internal Communications – Lead the creation and distribution of impactful content to effectively communicate our vision and achievements to internal audiences. This might include senior leadership updates, town halls, and news updates for key business areas and Associate groups.
- Media Relations and External Communications – Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets to ensure effective coverage and representation of the company’s initiatives and successes, helping build a proactive media relations programme and calendar.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with regional leadership, business teams, and external partners to identify communication needs and implement initiatives that drive engagement and alignment.
- Agency management – be actively involved in working with Lockton’s agencies and partners on projects covering media relations, content creation, video messaging, and more.
- Analysis - engage with data gathering and monitoring technology to track and report internal and external KPIs, to continually learn and optimise.
- Team engagement – partner with colleagues throughout the wider marketing and communications team, including those working in social media and thought leadership, to offer support and perspectives on projects or day-to-day activities.
