Description

You'll be supporting the Data Protection Manager in the ongoing management of the data protection framework, by ensuring that data protection requirements, risks, and issues across all businesses of Lockton International are appropriately identified and managed

Candidate Profile

 

 

Key Skills

 

  • Experience in Data Protection/Privacy preferably within Financial Services.
  • Experience in working in an analytical or risk-based role desirable.
  • Understanding or interest in relevant data protection regulations (UK GDPR/PECR).
  • Ability to present effectively to stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience using OneTrust desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Desire and ambition to complete Insurance and Privacy/Data Protection qualifications.

About The Position

Providing support to:

 

  • Analyse and understand data protection risks across Lockton International.
  • Implement or monitoring the effectiveness of data protection controls and processes.
  • Assist the Data Protection Manager in maintaining an effective data protection framework and culture.

 


Technical:

 

  • Check and validate any updates to the Records of Processing Activities (ROPA) through stakeholder reviews.
  • Liaising with the business to obtain information on high-risk data processing activities for completion of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
  • Supporting the Data Protection Manager in the investigation and closure of incidents and potential personal data breaches.
  • Support the Data Protection Manager in the fulfilment of Data Subject Access Requests.
  • Assist in the monitoring of the business’ compliance with Direct Marketing rules under the PECR.
  • Conduct assurance reviews on relevant data protection controls and processes, ensuring their effectiveness.
  • Assisting in the remediation of assurance findings with the relevant stakeholders and the Data Protection Manager.
  • To build out the Record Retention Schedule working with the business and IT to maintain compliance with the associated policy.
  • Assisting with website privacy management.
