Title
Data Protection Analyst
Description
The Data Protection team is growing and we are looking for a new Analyst to join our team, supporting our Data Protection Manager in the ongoing management of data subject rights.
Primary objectives are:
- Responding to internal and external data protection queries
- Maintaining records of data protection related incidents
- Administer data protection screenings
- Administer the annual Records of Processing Activities cycle
- Monitoring the effectiveness of data protection controls & processes.
Technical
- Support the Data Protection Manager in the fulfilment of Data Subject Access Requests
- Support the annual Records Of Processing Activities (ROPA) cycle.
- Liaising with the business to obtain information on high-risk data processing activities for identifying when Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) are needed.
- Supporting the Data Protection Manager in the investigation and closure of incidents and potential personal data breaches.
- Supporting the review of supplier due diligence responses.
- Responding to client due diligence requests.
- Assisting with website privacy management.
- Support with Ad-Hoc tasks and project work from time to time.
Stakeholder Management
- Helping to develop, update and embed data protection policies, guidelines, and standards within the business.
- Help provide advice and guidance to the business on data protection issues when necessary.
- Support the delivery of strong data protection culture within the business
Candidate Profile
Knowledge
- Understanding of data subject rights under the GDPR and other international data protection regulations
- Retain up to date knowledge of applicable data protection legislation, codes of practice, industry guidelines and best practice that have the potential to impact Lockton International.
Key Skills
- Experience working in a Data Protection or Data Privacy role
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and to reprioritise work to meet the needs of the business within a fast-paced operation.
- Experience using OneTrust desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point.
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience).
- Desire and ambition to complete Insurance and Privacy/Data Protection qualifications
- Experience in Data Protection/Privacy preferably within Financial Services.
