Description

We are looking for a Data Protection Analyst to support the Data Protection Manager in the ongoing management of the data protection framework, by ensuring that data protection requirements, risks, and issues across all businesses of Lockton International are appropriately identified and managed.

You will be providing support to analyse and understand data protection risks across Lockton International.

You will implement or monitor the effectiveness of data protection controls and processes and will assist the Data Protection Manager in maintaining an effective data protection framework and culture.

The role will have responsibilities such as liaising with the business to obtain information on high-risk data processing activities for completion of Data Protection Impact Assessments along with supporting in the investigation and closure of incidents and potential data breaches.

You will also help to develop, update and embed data protection policies, guidelines, and standards within the business and provide advice and guidance on data protection issues and queries when necessary.

Candidate Profile

You should have the following experience:

  • Substantial experience in Data Protection/Privacy preferably within  Financial Services. 
  • Experience of working in an analytical or risk-based role desirable.
  • Understanding or interest in relevant data protection regulations (UK GDPR/PECR).
  • Ability to present effectively to stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and to reprioritise work to meet the needs of the business within a fast-paced operation.
  • Experience using OneTrust desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience).
  • Desire and ambition to complete Insurance and Privacy/Data Protection qualifications.
  • Flexibility to be able to travel within the UK and possibly overseas.
