We are looking for a Financial Institutions wordings and coverage specialist to join our London office, working within our specialist ‘PACT team’, and partnering primarily with our Financial Institutions practice as an Advisory Contracts & Technical Specialist.
Lockton’s PACT team (Professional & Executive Risk Advisory Contracts and Technical) are the key point of referral for coverage review and analysis, client service development, product development, and thought leadership. Our team enhance Lockton’s service propositions for clients, strengthening Lockton’s credentials when tendering, and increasing effectiveness in negotiations. Key types of insurance frequently dealt with are professional indemnity, cyber-liability, management liability and financial institutions insurance.

While working closely and in-depth with the Financial Institutions practice, your involvement with the broader Professions practice will ensure that you maintain a diverse and broad skill set, and you will collaborate and be supported by the wider PACT team across London and Bristol.
Key responsibilities:
Internal Support (Technical/Coverage)
- Building relationships across the business and being able to offer insurance coverage advice
- Reviewing/drafting coverage input and comparisons prior to external release
- Responding to policy wording queries and drafting endorsements
- Conducting reviews of Lockton-drafted policy wordings
- Creation of new Lockton-drafted policy wordings
External Support (Technical/Coverage)
- Participation with account executives in client meetings (in-person & virtual) to explain coverage and provide technical input to existing clients
- Participation with new business executives in tenders/RFPs (in-person & virtual) to explain coverage and provide technical input to potential clients
Thought Leadership (Horizon Scanning)
- Researching and writing on topical issues, case law and legislative updates
- Assisting on thought-leadership projects as required
Training (Technical)
- Participation in internal training to associates to assist in their development; assist other trainers with input on key issues relating to own work
Legal Analysis & Review (Contract Review)
- Reviewing contractual liability provisions in clients’ third party agreements, and analysing coverage against policy wordings; communication of issues identified to internal stakeholders and/or clients with appropriate sensitivity to commercial issues arising
