Description

Lockton Re’s Client Services team are currently looking for skilled reinsurance professionals to join them, joining Lockton Re at an excited period of growth.

 

Working closely with our broking teams, and colleagues within client services, your skills and experience will enable the effective and accurate service to Lockton Re’s clients and internal stakeholders, with opportunity to grow your career with a fast-growing reinsurance brokerage.

 

  • Undertaking monthly review of Aged Debt reports, chasing for due items and arranging settlement of held balances
  • Preparing and reconciling Underwriter statements and arranging payments
  • Authorising payments, sending them via G Treasury to the bank & monitoring the payment status.
  • Verification of bank details and loading account details
  • Posting Payment transactions on the company cashbook for the Bureau Signings
  • Uploading the daily cash from the BARRT system and posting Cash Receipts
  • Journal posting for cash movement / trades
  • Running daily reports for the Bureau Signings, agreeing the balances back and identifying the unmatched signings
  • Answering email queries and responding promptly
  • Working independently, managing priorities and supporting team colleagues to ensure excellent client service.
  • Actively building relationships with team, internal stakeholders and external reinsurers
  • Identifying underwriters individual requirements and work alongside them to ensure a seamless payment process
  • Participating in client and reinsurer meetings as required

Candidate Profile

Given this role's focus, previous relevant experience will be required to succeed in this position however we are open to the type of experience that would be considered. To give some guidance, candidates should be able to evidence some of the below points:

  • Previous experience in a reinsurance accounting role, ideally gained within a broking environment
  • Experience dealing with large corporate reinsurers advantageous
  • Previous experience of Salesforce and Open TWINS is advantageous
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent business relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Proven problem solving skills, including the ability to resolve unusual and complex issues and then devise actionable solutions
