Key responsibilities of the role
- Managing the interface between IBA and a portfolio of client facing broking businesses
- Working with the leadership of the IBA teams in London and Brighton to ensure meaningful targets are set and achieved through agreement and collaboration between IBA and the business
- Ensuring clients and insurer partners receive optimal levels of service
- Utilising fiduciary knowledge to deliver operational and financial benefit to Lockton
- Supporting the development of IBA strategy and plans
- Proposing and supporting the implementation of activities or workstreams aimed at improving the end to end service, and/or enhancing the control environment
- Understanding complex internal and external accounting problems and proposing solutions
- Producing regular reports to management (both within Lockton finance and also business units) on key targets, projects and issues
Developing and maintaining key internal or external relationships (e.g. underwriters, auditors, business unit COOs)
- Escalating issues from IBA that belong in the business units or in technical teams to ensure prompt resolution
- Ensuring that IBA considerations are taken into account during business unit planning for new products or initiatives.
- Guide and support colleagues on escalated issues, ensuring any training gaps are referred to Team Leaders so that they can be addressed.
The purpose of the Head of Service role is to act as a central point of contact between the business units and IBA with the aim of ensuring the secure, efficient and auditable handling of client money.
