Description

We are hiring for a Retail Financial Institutions Broker to join our growing London-based team. In this role, you will lead and support on complex client accounts, manage renewals, and play an integral part in the continued success and growth of our Retail Financial Institutions (FI) division.

 

You’ll work with a diverse and complex client portfolio of banking and non-traditional banking financial institutions. This is an exciting opportunity to accelerate your career within a collaborative, high-performing team of financial lines specialists

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in strategic planning and business development initiatives, including building a new business pipeline.
  • Design, place, and provide expert advice on insurance programme solutions for wholesale clients in line with Lockton’s compliance framework and client-specific requirements.
  • Resolve client queries efficiently and accurately.
  • Manage and monitor your renewal portfolio, ensuring timely invitations and submissions.
  • Support the preparation of RFP responses, presentations, and renewal strategies.
  • Produce, review, and execute compliant quotation documents for international offices, the Global Partner Network, and independent brokers.
  • Support the maintenance and updating of wording, clauses, and template libraries.
  • Prepare comprehensive market submissions and liaise with insurers and clients as required.
  • Actively participate in internal team meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Participate in client calls and renewal strategy discussions.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience within Retail Financial Lines broking, and knowledge of relevant insurance markets
  • Experience in placing complex FI Retail business
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with a professional approach to interacting with clients, underwriters, and colleagues
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Passion for ongoing learning and development, both as a contributor and learner, including participation in internal and external training initiatives
