Specialist Motor Trade Manager

Description

The purpose of this role is to lead and build a specialist motor trade practice as part of the Lockton performance team.

 

Key Tasks & Duties

  • Responsible for understanding, accepting and promoting the Lockton culture remaining consistent with the organisation’s
  • philosophies and mission statement.
  • Set strategic direction for new prospects and existing clients, in conjunction with the Lockton Performance leadership team.
  • As part of the Lockton Performance leadership team take ownership for outlining financial budget and business strategy
  • Work in close collaboration with the wider Lockton Performance team to share knowledge, achieve the best possible outcomes and develop cross-selling opportunities.
  • Responsible for leadership, development and support of Lockton Performance associates.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and convert to viable business cases.
  • Provide strategic input to growth plans and resourcing for Lockton Performance.
  • Oversee KPI’s, and other data records, to ensure new and existing clients can be accurately tracked and reported on, as well as the identification and implementation of process improvements.
  • Manages market relationships with key insurer partners at both a strategic and operational level.
  • Leads the resolution of service issues with insurers and other third-party providers in a timely an efficient manner.

 

Skills & Knowledge

  • Expert knowledge of UK classic car & specialist motor trade industry including collectors.
  • Proven track record in new business production, client excellence and development of associates
  • Ability to prepare and execute strategic direction by demonstrating a deep understanding of clients, sector, possible challenges and opportunities.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to delegate as appropriate.
  • Ability to compile, analyse and interpret financial information and data to facilitate decision making.
  • Professional and tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to identify and exploit opportunities for new business development.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the general, legal principles of insurance as well as insurer products and specialisms.
